<p>The recorder uses a rotatable, flexible magnetisable disc. The magnetic head on a carriage moves radially over the surface of the disc to pick up different tracks of data. The carriage (15) moves on two guiding bars (14, 19), and has a rack (11) running in the direction of movement of the carriage (15). It is driven by a stepping motor (10) through a gear transmission (7-9). When the rack moves by one step, a locking lever (2) is used to lock it in the new position.</p> |
