In the case of a puncture, the heels of the tread strip may fall into the median groove of the rim, which risks the tyre rolling off the rim. In order to overcome this risk, the rim is provided with circumferential grooves (15) in which there are housed annular projections (10) extending each heel towards the centre of the rim. These projections are transversely flexible, in order to allow mounting, and are longitudinally rigid in order to hold the heel in place. <IMAGE> |
