A furniture building element includes a veneer panel which is provided with two parallel VEE-grooves (5,6), on the same side of the panel. The grooves which cut through one outer (3) and the centre layer (4) allow the panel to be folded along these grooves. The trough shaped profile so obtained provides the outer mould, which becomes an integral part of the element, for expanded foam. Thus various profiles, made from veneer panels, can be filled with foam.
