The wristwatch has the upper part of its casing pressing the timing unit via the window, a spacing ring and the clock face against an elastic element inside the lower part of the casing. The elastic element is preferably a foam buffer. The lipped part of the upper part of the casing conforms to the inner contours of the spacing ring and rests on an appropriately shaped step on the outside of the window. The spacing ring carries a sealing ring on its outer periphery. The sealing ring is covered by the step in the window.
