Cold-chamber die-casting machine

In a cold-chamber die-casting machine, the die cavity is filled in a direction perpendicular to the direction of motion of the plunger which introduces the casting material. A specially designed casting chamber ensures optimum deflection of the casting material during its introduction into the die cavity and favourable transmission of pressure from the plunger to the casting material during the solidification process. A cold-chamber die-casting machine of this kind does not need to be set up over a pit, nor does it require a frame.
