DEVICE FOR PREVENTING MARITIME DISASTER

PURPOSE:To facilitate searching operation at a maritime accident and assure the safety of a navigator, by providing a radio transmitter in a life jacket to use the transmitter as a maritime disaster prevention alarm. CONSTITUTION:A radio transmitter is provided in a life jacket 4. The antenna 1 of the transmitter comprises four radial antenna units connected to one another. When a person wearing the life jacket 4 is in the sea water, a part of the antenna 1 is located in the air to transmit electromagnetic waves. The transmitter comprises the transmission antenna 1, an electromagnetic wave generator 2 and a water detector 3 and surely functions through a simple construction. The waves transmitted from the transmitter provided in the life jacket 1 are received by the antenna of a ship or the like so that an alarm is raised.
