PURPOSE:To install a butterfly valve simply in a single operation by providing such a joint composed of joint main bodies which are brought into pressure-contact with both end surfaces of a butterfly valve, an annulus engaged with both coupler main bodies, a taper ring screwed in the inner circumference of the main bodies, and the like. CONSTITUTION:Right and left joint main bodies 1, 2 which are brought into pressure- contact with end surfaces of a wafer type butterfly valve V through a gasket G are formed in a cylindrical shape so that a pipe body P may be fit thereinto. A plurality of projections 11, 21 whose outer circumferences are formed in a spiral surface are provided on the outer circumference of the inner end surfaces of the main bodies 1, 2, and also, male screws 13, 23 are formed on the inner circumference of screw parts 15, 25 extended outward in a canopy shape. The main bodies 1, 2 are integratedly connected to an annular outer circumferential surface by an engaging annulus 3 provided with a recessed groove 33 engaged with spiral surfaces of the outer circumferences of the projections 11, 21. Taper rings 4, 6 are screwed and fastened in female screws 13, 23 of respective coupler main bodies 1, 2, and then connectors 5, 7 where annular claw tooth is projected on the inner circumference thereof are brought into pressure-contact with the pipe body P, so that installing operation is completed. |
