PURPOSE:To enable to print characters at high speed and with high accuracy, by a method wherein a magnetic pole on one side of a magnetic circuit for driving a printing pin is so formed as to be inclined against a driving direction. CONSTITUTION:One of end faces of yokes 10, 10' fitted respectively to both sides of a permanent magnet 1 is formed to be inclined against the driving direction (a) of an armature, while the other is formed as a surface parallel to the driving direction (a) with a fixed minute gap (e) therebetween. The armature 9 also is provided with an inclination parallel with the inclination of the yokes 10, 10'. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce variations of the gap length as compared with variations of the stroke length, and the opposed surfaces of the armature and the yoke constituting a magnetic pole on the other side maintain the fixed minute gap therebetween independently of the variations of the stroke length, it can be contrived to increase driving energy, and it is possible to relatively reduce the variations of an attracting force with respect to the variations of the stroke length. When this type of magnetic circuit shape is used, characters such as Chinese characters can be printed at high speed and with high accuracy.
