PURPOSE:To enable flexible cargoes such as cement bags or the like to be transferred without deformation, by juxtaposing conveying and idle rollers in a vertically alternate relation, bending and mounting a conveyor around these rollers, and providing robbot fingers for supporting the bottom face of a cargo at its transferring position. CONSTITUTION:When a cargo W is transferred from the rear side of a base frame 13 to a conveyor T, the cargo W is conveyed over rollers 25 with the conveyor T running in the direction of (y), and stopped at the position of a stop piece S. The conveyor T is stopped by a signal from a detector P, and robbot fingers (f) are inserted between arm pieces 23 and 23 from between side frames 14 and 14 to be applied against the bottom face of the cargo W. The cargo W is then removed upward from the conveying rollers 24 with the upward movement of the fingers (f), and changed its direction by a robbot hand (not shown) to be delivered to a desired position. With this constitution, even a flexible cargo can be conveyed easily and rapidly without deformation.
