PURPOSE:To grip a backing material firmly regardless of the forming precision of the backing material by a method wherein a folding part to the outside at the peripheral edge of an undercut part, which is formed by bending, by pushing a part of a side plate at a higher position than a heating point from a diagonal direction, is positioned closer loser to the backing material side than the heating point level. CONSTITUTION:This vacuum formed article which can be utilized as a ceiling panel, etc., which has a suction port 102 and blow out port 103 of an air conditioner, has a vacuum formed article main body 100 for which a side plate 101 with a height being higher than the thickness of a backing material 200 is bent. The backing material 200 is arranged in such a manner that the backing material 200 may come into contact with the rear surface of the main body 100 and the inner surface of the side plate 101. Then, for the side plate 101, the same level with a back surface level of the backing material 200 or an almost equivalent level area of the side plate 101 is heated to a degree by which the area can be bent, and then, a part higher than the heating point on the side plate 101 is pushed to the backing material 200 from a diagonal direction, and the side plate 101 is bent with the heating point as the center, and thus, an under-cut part 5 is provided, and the backing W material 200 is gripped by the under cut part 5 and vacuum formed article main body 100. |
