<p>A silo (1) intended for bulk material, having a circular ground layout, possessing a central, torsion-resistant supporting column (4), for a filling system (9) which can be loaded from above and can rotate around the central axis, and two transverse conveyors which are arranged on the supporting column (4) so that they can be raised or lowered, and rotated around the supporting column (4). The transverse conveyor consists of two clearing arms (19) which are secured to the rotary part (17) of a lifting and rotating frame (13) and are designed with a curved shape and extend approximately to the silo wall. When the silo is being filled, the clearing arms (19) are rotated around the supporting column (40 in such a way that they push and distribute the bulk material outwards with their convex external edges. On the other hand, to empty, the clearing arms (19) are rotated in the opposite direction so that they deflect inwards the bulk material with their concave inner edges and push it through the openings in the helical strip (5) of the supporting column (4) in the evacuation shaft (7). The arrangement and design of the clearing arms (19) in the form of hook-shaped arms is of valuable importance and especially suited for medium-size silos (1).</p> |
