PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of other transmission station and transmission control by retransmitting a free token after the free token detected by a station controlling detection/recovery of a transmission fault while relaying information is rewritten into a busy token. CONSTITUTION:With respect to the token information, two kinds of tokens, the free token (FT) representing that the line is idle and the busy token (BT) representing that the line is occupied by a transmission station are provided. When a supervisory station SVT4 applying supervision/control of the transmission state detects the free token FT in the bus state, the free token is converted into the busy token BT without fail, the message transmission state is obtained to retransmit the free token FT. Thus, the detection of a transmission fault at each transmission station, the control of recovery and the retransmission control of the token are not required to simplify the transmission processing.
