FLUE GAS DESULFURIZING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a flue gas desulfurizing method capable of adjusting the pH of an absorbent liquid in the gas-air contact section in an absorption column with good responsibility. CONSTITUTION:This flue gas desulfurizing method comprises executing desulfurization by bringing waste gases and the absorbent liquid 15 into counter current contact or parallel current contact in the gas-air contact section 19 in the absorption column 12. A receiving section 29 for the absorbent liquid 15 absorbing the waste gases is disposed immediate under the gas-air contact section 19 and the absorbent liquid 15 is introduced from this receiving section 29 to a pH detecting section 32 of a pH detecting line 21, where the pH of the absorbent liquid 15 is detected. The pH of the absorbent liquid 15 in the gas-air contact section 19 is adjusted in accordance with this pH value.
