A peripheral contact portion (51B) of a coaxial connector is manufactured by die-cutting of a metal plate and bending thereof. An insulating portion (53) is used for insulating between the peripheral contact portion and a central contact (52). A body (51) includes the peripheral contact portion (51B), a housing portion (51A) and a grounding contact (51C). The insulating portion (53) is located within the housing portion. A middle part of the central contact (52) is located within the insulating portion. A first end of the central contact (52) projects in a direction in which the peripheral contact portion (51B) extends. A second end of the central contact (52) projects in a direction in which the grounding contact portion (51C) extends.
