<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the supply rate of an alkaline agent without deteriorating desulfurization performance by adjusting the supply rate of the alkaline agent in such a manner that the concn. of alkaline ions attains a specified value in accordance with the deviation between a demand signal for the supply of the alkaline agent and a flow rate signal of the alkaline agent in an absorption column. CONSTITUTION:The mass balance calculation of the alkaline ions is executed in accordance with the flow rate signals in the respective sections of a waste water flow meter 32, an alkaline agent flow meter 33 of a neutralizing tank, and a gypsum flow meter 31 in a computing element 36 for the preceding flow rate of the alkaline agent. The concn. of the alkaline ions is computed in accordance with the flow rate signals of the gypsum flow meter 31, the waste water flow meter and the alkaline agent flow meter 33 of the neutralizing tank in a computing element 36 for the concn. of the alkaline ions. Further, the demand signal 41 for the supply rate of the alkaline agent is obtd. in accordance with the results of the computations made by the computing element 35, 36 and the supply rate of the alkaline agent is adjusted in such a manner that the concn. of the alkaline ions attains the specified value in accordance with the deviation between this signal and the signal of the alkaline flow meter 34 of the absorption column in a controller 28. As a result, the supply rate of the alkaline agent is decreased without deteriorating the desulfurization performance.</p> |
