An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises an electrically conductive base and a photosensitive layer contg. a disazo cpd. of formula (I) [A= a coupler residuum . Pref. the =CH- gp. is attached meta to the N or O of the condensed hetero ring. The layer may also contain binder and 10-95 wt.% charge transporting material, or there may be a separate charge transporting layer. (I) is present at upto 50 wt.% in its layer. The photoreceptor has a good sensitivity and durability.
