Nucleoside derivatives, methods for the manufacture thereof and specific polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies of said derivatives. The derivatives have formula (I) wherein R<1> is H or a linear mono-, di- or tri-phosphoric acid, R<2> is a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a protein comprising a free amine site, a polystyrene aminoalkyl or silica grafted with an alkylamine chain, and R<3> is a substituted base selected from uracil, thymine, cytosine, guanine or adenine.
