PURPOSE:To provide a photovoltaic device and a method of fabrication thereof without stress concentration and film exfoliation by providing a resin layer on a photovoltaic conversion region along an insulating member and a conductive member along the same, the thickness of the resin layer being thicker than those of the insulating member and the conductive member. CONSTITUTION:An integrated photovoltaic device is constructed by electrically isolating a plurality of photoelectric conversion regions formed on a flexible insulating film with an insulating film, and electrically coupling the adjacent photoelectric conversion regions using a conductive member. In the device, a resin layer is typically formed on the photoelectric conversion region via a bonding layer to provide relatively gradual flatness on the device. With such construction, however, stress is concentrated in the vicinity of the insulating member 4 and of the conductive member 5 owing to the thicknesses of the same, and hence film exfoliation is produced in the vicinity of the insulating film 4 and among respective layers. This is solved by providing a resin layer 9 on the photoelectric conversion region through a bonding layer 8 thicker than those of the insulating member 4 and the conductive member 5. |
