PURPOSE:To shorten a time in which noise is generated during discharge of vapor by installing a fuel passage to the central part of a diaphragm by which the interior of a casing is partitioned into a fuel chamber and an air chamber and intercoupling the fuel passage and a passage on the outlet side to keep it at an oiltight state. CONSTITUTION:When, during the starting of an engine, a mixture of fuel fed with a pressure with the aid of a fuel pump and vapor generated in a fuel piping flows through a passage on the inlet side formed in a casing 1, a diaphragm 3 is displaced to the fuel return side (the left side) so that a product of a fuel pressure and the pressure receiving area of the diaphragm 3 is balanced with the spring load of a spring 4. As a result, a seat part to which a fuel passage 8 installed to the central part of the diaphragm 3 is opened is opened. Fuel and vapor are caused to flow out through a bellows 5 arranged in a manner to intercouple the fuel passage 8 and a fuel passage on the return side installed to a casing 2, and the fuel passage on the return side. In this case, vibration of a high frequency is generated through the force of the spring 4 but the vibration is absorbed by means of the bellows 5 and the generation of noise is suppressed. |
