<p>PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust particulate processing unit that is able to reduce a quantity of exhaust flow coming in a filter so sufficiently for an amount necessary for regeneration and regenerating the filter efficiently in utilizing the restoration of ventilation resistance effectively with the regeneration of each filter and simultaneously to check a melting loss and a thermal crack or the like. CONSTITUTION:Two cylindrical filters 11 and 12 and a small filter being small in ventilation resistance and capacity but high in collecting efficiency both are installed in a first vessel 10 in a parallel manner, and likewise two other filters 21 and 22 of the same technical data are parallelly installed in a second vessel 20. At the time of filter regeneration, first of all, the small filter 14 is regenerated, restoring the ventilation resistance in this small filter 14, and in time of regenerating the filter 11 to be done successively, a quantity of exhaust flow coming in this filter 11 is sharply reduced. Subsequently, the filter 12 is regenerated, and the filters 21, 22 in the second vessel are regenerated in order. With this constitution, in comparison with such a case that the small filter 14 is omitted and only these filters 11, 12 and 21, 22 are regenerated in order, the exhaust flow coming into each filter during regeneration is reducible in quantity, so that power consumption in an electric heater is also reducible.</p> |
