PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, comprising a polyester resin, a specific epoxy resin and a fibrous reinforcing material, excellent in heat and hydrolytic resistances and mechanical properties, etc., of moldings without deteriorating the fluidity or thermal stability and useful as electrical and electronic parts, etc. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. resin component composed of (A) 55-99.9wt.% polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate and (B) 0.1-45wt.% epoxy resin, having $ 7000 number-average molecular weight and expressed by the formula (R1 is methyl bound to the o- or p-position; (n) is the number of repetitions) with (C) 3-450 pts.wt. fibrous reinforcing material treated with a phenolic novolak type epoxy resin, preferably having the surface treated with a silane compound and then treated with the phenolic novolak type epoxy resin. |
