<p>PURPOSE:To provide redisposition of stored articles, and discharge them effectively by computing the optimum distribution condition of the articles based on position information of the articles stored in each rack of an automatic warehouse, and controlling an article handling device and entry/discharge devices respectively to achieve this optimum distribution condition. CONSTITUTION:An article 1 is first carried into an entry port 4 of an automatic warehouse 2, and after it advances to a specified position by an entry device 6, it is stored on an empty rack at an address designated by an article handling means 3, and it is discharged to the specified position. The discharged article 1 is carried to a discharge port 8 by a discharge device 9, and it is moved to the entry port 4 by a moving device 10. At this time, position information of the article 1 stored on each rack is memorized in a storage position data memorizing device 11, and the optimum distribution condition of the stored article 1 is computed by a computer 13 based on this position information. The article handling device 3, discharge device 9, moving device 10, and entry device 6 are controlled by a control device 14 respectively to achieve the optimum distribution condition computed.</p> |
