发明名称 SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIAL, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND MAGNETIC HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a soft magnetic material having high saturation magnetic flux density and a magnetic head using this material. CONSTITUTION:This material is a soft magnetic material composed essentially of FeMN (where M means at least one element selected from Ta, Zr; Nb, Hf, and Ti and N means nitrogen). When this material is represented by a composition of FexMyNz, 72<=x<=82, 8<=y<=13, 10<=z<=15, and x+y+z=100 are satisfied when (x), (y), and (z) are given by atomic%. This soft magnetic material is an aggregate of crystal grains of body-centered cubic lattice and the average grain size of these crystal grains is regulated to <=10nm, and further, no fixed order exists in respective crystal orientations of the crystal grains. The magnetic head is a laminated core magnetic head, a metal-in-gap type magnetic head, and a thin film magnetic head, where magnetic cores are formed by using the soft magnetic material. By this method, the high efficiency magnetic head for high density recording and reproduction, using FeMN film increased in saturation magnetization, can be obtained.
