PURPOSE: To effectively obtain the subject improving agent containing components obtained by blending Alismatis rhizoma and Asini gelatinum and then extracting with hot water as active ingredients, having no adverse effect, safe, and not decomposing alisol in the Alismatis rhizoma. CONSTITUTION: This nephritis improving agent comprises components obtained by hot water extraction of a mixture of crude drugs Alismatis rhizoma and Asini gelatinum as active ingredients, i.e., tetracyclic terpenoides, alisol A, alisol B and their monoacetate derivatives of the hot water extracted components of Alismatis rhizoma. The amount of use of the improving agent is usually 0.01-0.1mg/kg daily for an adult based on the amount of alisol, and it can be administered once daily or several times a day by dividing. |
