<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a double envelop feed to reliably open a flap of an envelop in a device for continuously feeding the envelop to a printer or the like. CONSTITUTION: When an envelop 3" with a flap 3"a opened by a blade 7 reaches a position of a sensor 15, the drive of a pick roller 9 is stopped, and the envelop 3" is fed to a printer by a feed roller 14. With the envelop 3" on the drive stop position, the pick roller 9 is positioned within an area of the flap 3"a. The pick roller 9 is operated in conjunction with a movable paper guide 6 so as to be always disposed on the center of the width W of the envelop. When the envelop 3" is fed to the printer, the pick roller 9 is also rotated as a follower, but a succeeding envelop 3 is not fed. When the drive of the pick roller 9 is again started, the same operation is continuously repeated.</p> |
