PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water storage system for greening the rooftop of a building, enabling the full-scale culture of plants on the rooftop and capable of surely fulfilling a role as a water source on emergency. SOLUTION: Water storage rubber tanks 1, 2 are disposed on the rooftop of a building, and subsequently covered with a level-raising member 3 comprising foamed polystyrene, etc. A waterproof rubber sheet 7 and a perforated rubber sheet 8 are spread on the level-raising member 3. Rain water, etc., permeated through a soil layer 9 for culturing plants is collected in a water-collecting member 10 and subsequently introduced into the tanks 1, 2 through a water- collecting pipe 14. Under the control operation of a controller 18, the water stored in the tank is pumped up with a pump 11 and subsequently sprayed on plants A. The shortage of the water is supplied from a water supply 12 into the other tank to always provide the water for emergency in a full water state. |
