PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sound of an open string that a player does not expect from bring generated even in case of misoperation due to insufficient depression of the inside part of a finger when a highlevel musical performance like a high-position chord performance is done on an electronic musical instrument which has no actual strings at a finger board part. SOLUTION: The string strum part of the main body of an electronic guitar is provided with six strings and the finger board part fitted to the main body is provided 15 frets. Wire members as many as the strings are provided over all the frets. The finger board part is provided with a pitch specification switch which is pressed to turn on and specify a pitch. A CPU 21 in the electronic guitar retrieves pitch data inputted from a pitch detection part 23, and corrects an error in the depressing operation of the pitch specification switch when the error is detected to consider that the wire members of all the frets are pressed, thereby performing a sounding process by generating pitch data. |
