<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a portable terminal and to improve portability. SOLUTION: A line is connected from the portable terminal to a server (S1). The portable terminal transmits a target place to the server and transmits the ID number (CS ID) of a base station connected with the portable terminal by radio link as the present place of the portable terminal (S2). The server has a table showing the correspondence relation between the ID number of the base station and the existing place. The place corresponding to the ID number is retrieved from the table as the present place of the portable terminal. Map data corresponding to the present place is transmitted to the portable terminal (S3).</p> |
