Communication conduit for motor vehicle IC engine ignition system engine

The arrangement is an ignition system for an internal combustion (IC) engine, and incorporates at least one ignition unit with corresp. ignition coil. The ignition coil is directly connected to a corresp. spark plug and the ignition unit receives ignition trigger signals from a control unit dependent upon signals received in the control unit from detectors arranged on the engine for detecting load, speed and stroke position. Ion current monitors are connected to the ignition coils for monitoring the ion currents produced with combustion in order to activate the engine drive conditions dependent upon these ion currents. The control units via a communication conduit is connected to the ignition units and incorporates components which dependent upon the engine stroke position to transmit the ignition trigger signals (IGBT-ON) or pref. digital information corresp. to the ignition trigger signals about the ignition unit ignition position from the control unit to the ignition units.
