PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guiding method of on-vehicle navigation system, which can display a route at the lowest cost from a point very close to the starting point to a point very close to the destination and which can appropriately guide a vehicle. SOLUTION: An intersection node within a set range from a starting point 21, which is included in the search data, is searched, and the cost to the intersection node is computed on the basis of the road data, and a result of this computing is set as an initial cost of the intersection node. Similarly, an intersection node within a set range from the destination 22, which is included in the search data, is searched, and the initial cost of this intersection node is set. A route from the starting point 21 to the destination 22 is searched on the basis of the initial cost and the search data, and a reference route 24, which is searched on the basis of the only road data, and a guide route 23, which is searched on the basis of the search data, are displayed with a different color in a display device. |
