A GHOST CANCELLING APPARATUS

An apparatus for removing a ghost is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: an A/D(analog to digital) converter(12) for converting a video signal received to an input terminal(10) to digital signals; a frame memory(14) for storing one field of the converted digital video signals; a plurality of filtering means(16,18) for filtering a ghost signal components of the video signal; a filter tap controller(20) for controlling a filter factor of the filtering means(16,18); an adder(22) for adding a filtering output; a frame memory(24) for storing the added output of the adder(22); and a D/A(digital to analog) converter(26) for converting the output signals to an analog signal.
