<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component developer stabilizing the electrostatic charge and conveyance of the toner over a long period of time and giving an image having superior image quantity and to provide an image forming method using the developer. SOLUTION: This one-component developer consists of toner particles contg. a bonding resin and a colorant and an additive contg. a titanium compd. obtd. by allowing part of TiO(OH)2 produced by a wet process to react with a silane compd. and treating the resultant reactional product with a fluorine-contg. silane compd. by a dry process. The fluorine-contg. silane compd. is represented by the formula Cn F2n+1 CH2 CH2 Si(CH3 )p X3-p [where X is a hydrolyzable group, (n) is an integer of 1-10 and (p) is 0 or 1] or Cm F2m+1 -Ph-CH2 CH2 Si(CH3 )q Y3-q [where Ph is phenylene, Y is a hydrolyzable group, (m) is an integer of 1-8 and (q) is 0 or 1].</p> |
