PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a surplus memory storage capacity from being consumed by applying an address for specifying the position of a RAM for storing data and a selection signal for selecting an upper byte or a lower byte out of one word that is selected by the address to a RAM for processing data in word units from an IC for processing data in byte units. SOLUTION: An IC 30 is, for example, an 8-bit IC and a RAM 32 is, for example, a 1 M×16 RAM. The 1 M×16 RAM may have 10 bit row and column addresses. Therefore, the 11th address A10 is provided on the address line of the IC 30 and is used as a signal for determining whether an upper byte or a lower byte is selected out of data in word units. A byte control part 40 outputs/LCAS and/UCAS signals for selecting the upper byte or the lower byte using/CAS signal, the address A10 on the address line, and/RAS signal. |
