PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance mechanical strength and safety by including a heat resistant polymer having a specific glass transition point in a porous polymer electrolyte membrane. SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous electrolyte battery, a porous polymer electrolyte membrane includes a heat resistant polymer with a glass transition point >=200 deg.C. Generally, a high polymer compound constituting a porous solid polymer membrane, PVdF for example, has a low melting point therefore it has risks that, in case of internal short circuit of a battery and becoming high temperature, it immediately melts to cause firing or explosion. Then, the shape of this polymer membrane is kept in its original shape by presenting a heat resistant polymer in this polymer membrane. As such heat resistant polymer, polyimide is preferable; 10 to 40 pts.wt. is preferably to 100 pts.wt. of a solid polymer. the porosity of the porous polymer electrolyte membrane is preferably 20 to 90%. |
