PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a communication control system for a vehicle to reduce effect of reception abnormality. SOLUTION: In a communication system for a vehicle where a plurality of control units communicate information with each other via a common signal line, the system discriminates occurrence of interruption denoting disabled reception of request information while not receiving an end signal of the request information (step 2), diagnoses occurrence of failure in reception when an interruption time T5 reaches a prescribed reception fault discrimination time Tout5 or over (step 4) and releases communication control with a control unit being a transmission destination on the occurrence of the reception fault (step 5).
