PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a coating body in contact with a metallic member, without affixing a protecting tape by comprising a conductor and the coating body for insulating and coating the conductor, and continuously forming a plurality of substantially triangular sectional and radial protruding parts extending in the longitudinal direction on the surface of the coating body. SOLUTION: A power source cord 1 is formed of a conductor 2 and a coating body 3 of synthetic resin for insulating and coating the conductor 2, and substantially triangular in section and radially protruding parts 4 extending in the longitudinal direction are formed continuously on the surface of the coating body 3. The protruding parts 4 evenly protect the outer circumferential part of the coating body 3, and when the power source cord 1 touches a metal member (a) constituting an air conditioner, the protruding parts 4 make contact with the metal member (a) to protect the coating body 3. According to this, the damages to the coating body 3 and the conductor 2 can be prevented, without requiring the affixing of a protecting tape to the surface of the coating body 3 or metal member (a), or generating extra member fee or man-hours.
