<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the rail gauge of a crane in short time by removing a second leg from a crane, lifting the crane, moving the crane so that a second connecting means corresponding to a second leg is aligned and registered with a first connecting means, and connecting the first and second connecting means to each other. SOLUTION: To change the rail gauge of a crane 10, a first connecting means like a pin 8 is fitted to each of land side legs 14 of a portal structure 16 of the crane 10 in a position right above the center line of a crane track of the land side track or the sea side track of a scheduled intended wharf. The distance in the horizontal direction between the axis of the pin 8 and the axis of a hinge plate 24 is equal to a difference between the required first gauge and second gauge. An additional support structure including another hinge 7 is provided in the current leg frame. At the time of lifting the crane, a joint can be separated so that the use of a jack can be minimized to simply re-arrange a part of the crane lower structure.</p> |
