The gear wheel device (1) has a rigid internal-tooth gear wheel (2), a deformable external-tooth gear wheel (3) engaged inside it and a wave generator (4) to deform the outer wheel to an ellipse for engagement at the extremities. Both engagement positions are rotated in the circumferential direction. The two gear wheels are both basically cylindrical.
