PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new side wall part. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 1 is provided with carcass 6 from a tread part 2 to a bead part 4 via the side wall part 3. Side wall rubber 9 disposed at a tire shaft direction outside of the carcass 6 in the side wall part 3 is made of a winding body 10 for substantially orienting the short fiber along a tire peripheral direction by winding a rubber strip formed into a band shape of a small width and thin thickness and orienting the short fiber along the longitudinal direction at the outside of the carcass 6 of the side wall part 3 along the tire peripheral direction. The rubber strip includes a first rubber strip of small thickness and a second rubber strip thicker than the first rubber strip and the thickness ratio (t1/t2) is set 0.15 to 0.80.
