PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular plug whose production cost is drastically reduced, when it is constructed to achieve connection to a cable of reduced attenuation. SOLUTION: A modular plug for long distance telecommunication and a method of connecting to it a cable with twisted twin wire are concerned. The plug is provided with a housing having a hollow 1 which can accept wire so constructed as to guide a bare part with untwisted cable to a plug contact end equipped with a groove 5. The groove is so constructed to accept a straight and bare part 8 of the wire constituting a contact terminal of the plug. In a preferable execution mode, the housing should include a fixed part 9 and a detachable part 10. The fixed part is provided with a top wall 3 of a plug housing hollow 1, and the detachable part is provided with a lower part wall 2 of the hollow, between which walls are held wire end parts not twisted. |
