PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having highly effective correction capability with respect to camera shake and the like, which has few failures in photographing due to camera shake. SOLUTION: In this camera, based on the deflection detection data 14 that is given by a deflection detection means 5, the expected deflection data is calculated. Then, after the correction start point (center 44) has been determined on the shooting surface 40 of a deflection correcting means 7, the deflection correction means is driven to control the deflection from the correction starting point 44, which results in effectively utilizing the range where the deflection correction means 7 can work. As a result, this enables effective utilization of movable range of the deflection correcting means and accordingly this gives the highly effective correction capability and greatly reduces mistakes in photography caused by camera shake and the like. |
