PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distinguish a non-marked state from a marked state even if a mark guide is printed on a document with non-dropout color. SOLUTION: A form image storage part 88 stores a form image (an image of a document in the noninputted state). A format data storage part 90 stores format data including positional information in a guide region. A document image input part 92 introduces an input image and stores it in an image memory 106. A form removing CPU 80 reads the input image and the form image from the image memory and the form image storage part, respectively, and makes a form-removed image by removing a pattern included in the form image from the input image to store it in a form removal memory 108. A mark recognition part 86 detects the presence of the mark in the guide region based on the format data and the form-removed image. |
