<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical lithium secondary battery having improved safety by preventing the deformation and failure of a cap assembly specifically of a safety bent caused by the movement of a winding member by using the winding member formed of a material having a hardness and a density lower than that of SUS (steel use stainless). <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical lithium secondary battery includes a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, a separator held between the first and second electrode plates, an electrode assembly having a center space, a rod like winding core member combined with the center space of the electrode assembly, a space accepting the electrode assembly with the core member having a hardness and density lower than that of SUS (steel use stainless), a case having an opening thereon, and a cap assembly combined with the upper portion of the case to seal the case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
