<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out start and stop control of a transmitter in a relay station instead of a transmitter control system in the relay station according to whether there is an image synchronous signal or not in terrestrial analog broadcasting, in terrestrial digital broadcasting and in a condition that a dedicated line is not necessary. <P>SOLUTION: In the terrestrial digital television broadcasting, a TS (transport stream) packet transmitted to each relay station includes TMCC (transmission multiplexing configuration control) information for transmission of identification of the system, a hierarchy composition, a transmission parameter, etc. There are reserve bits of 15 bits for expansion in the TMCC information composed of 204 bits. Using the 15 bits for expansion, start/stop control of a transmitter in a plurality of relay stations is performed by transmitting start, stop signals to the transmitters in the relay stations including broadcasting/non-broadcasting flags in a TS packet header and ON, OFF control signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
