A method for recommending multimedia broadcasting data and a communication terminal adopting the method are provided to allow a user to conveniently recommend the multimedia broadcasting data by recommending the multimedia broadcasting data reproduced from the communication terminal to the second communication terminal by using a broadcasting data message and controlling the second communication terminal to automatically reproduce the multimedia broadcasting data by using the broadcasting data message. A service request receiving unit(610) receives a multimedia broadcasting service request inputted from a user. A broadcasting data control unit(620) receives multimedia broadcasting data from a certain data source according to the request, and reproduces the multimedia broadcasting data. A message generating unit(630) receives a certain menu input from the user, and generates a broadcasting data message including broadcasting data information of the multimedia broadcasting data. A message transmitting unit(640) transmits the generated broadcasting data message to the second communication terminal.
