A stereoscopic camera system of a lens horizontal movement type is provided to interlock and adjust a viewing angle and a focus by designing an additional control board, reading distance information for an auto focus lens, reading an LUT(Look UP Table), and controlling a motor by using the LUT. A camera module includes left and right image sensors(11,12). An auto focus lens module focuses an image on the image sensors(11,12). A left position detecting sensor(71) confirms motor position information of a left auto focus lens(21). A right position detecting sensor(72) confirms motor position information of a light auto focus lens(22). A motor(30) adjusts separation distance between the left and the right auto focus lenses(21,22) and adjusts a viewing angle. A motor driving unit(40) controls a driving state of the motor(30) in response to a motor driving signal inputted from the outside. A control unit(50) calculates distance information between the left and the right lenses(21,22) by using the motor position information of the left auto focus lens(21) and the motor position information of the light auto focus lens(22) inputted from the left position detecting sensor(71) and the right position detecting sensor(72), and controls the motor driving unit(40) by using the calculated distance information. An image synthesizing unit(60) synthesizes left and right images from the camera module as one stereoscopic image.
