The device has a protecting screen in the form of a flexible fabric (7), and a roller (8) for the fabric. The fabric passes from a retracted position inside the roller to a deployed position or vice versa. A fixation unit fixes the fabric to upper part of cab interior of a motor vehicle (1) in deployed position. The fixation unit ensures removable integration of the fabric at the level of a third brake light (4).
