摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component fall detecting method of detecting an electronic component falling from one of a plurality of nozzles branching off from one suction path, and to provide an electronic component mounting method of mounting electronic components at a plurality of mount positions by sucking the electronic components to the plurality of nozzles branching off from the one suction path. <P>SOLUTION: When variation is measured in vacuum pressure in the suction path at the time of movement of multiple nozzles while sucking the electronic components to the nozzles branching off from the one suction path, the vacuum pressure is determined as detected in a predetermined time after the start of the movement of the multiple nozzles. Consequently, if an electronic component falls from one nozzle of the multiple nozzles, a drop in vacuum pressure in the suction path becomes stable until the vacuum pressure is measured even when the movement distance is short, and the fall of the electronic component can be detected based upon a result of comparison with a predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
