PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum valve unit which takes the convenience of setting thereof into consideration while effectively taking air into house-inlet by employing a simple structure. SOLUTION: The vacuum valve unit 1 is formed of: the house-inlet 10 embedded in the ground; a vacuum valve 20 having one end thereof communicating with a vacuum conduit 22 and allowing a suction pipe 21 opening into the house-inlet 10 to be attached to the other end thereof; and a storage case 40 storing therein the vacuum valve 20. The interior of the storage case 40 communicates with the interior of the house-inlet 10, and has at least part thereof exposed above the ground, and the part exposed above the ground has an air intake portion 50 arranged therein. The air intake portion 50 is an opening 50a formed like a mesh consisting of a plurality of pores. Further the outside of the air intake portion 50 is covered with an eaves portion 43 set by overhanging from a peripheral edge of an upper lid 42 of the storage case 40, to thereby prevent rainwater and insects from infiltrating via the air intake portion 50.
