PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic screw fastening machine for improving screw fastening accuracy by suppressing wobble of the screw even when a screw having a comparatively large size is screw-fastened in the horizontal direction. SOLUTION: The automatic screw fastening machine 1 used for manufacturing an external frame of a pinball machine, screw-fastens and fixes the screw 3 held by chuck jaws 20 to a workpiece by pushing to open the chuck jaws 20 by advancing a driver bit 10. A holding member 40 having a holding hole 41 where the part 5 of the maximum diameter of the screw 3 can be fitted can be detachably mounted on a shaft part of the driver bit 10 through a coil spring 12 and a pin 13. The chuck jaw 20 is formed with an insertion hole 22 having the size where the shaft part of the screw 3 can be inserted in a closed state, but the screw head part 5 cannot be passed through, and a tapered part 23 capable of abutting on the tip end 42 of the holding member 40. A holding hole 41 of the holding member 40 composed of a multi-step cylindrical hole formed of a rear end small hole part, a front end large hole part, and an intermediate cylindrical hole part 45.
